Paul Hurley

Paul Hurley is a teaching artist, actor, and director, and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Acting and Movement at Kent State University. He received his certification in the Michael Chekhov Acting technique from the National Michael Chekhov Association, and has been training actors and teaching workshops all around the country for the past 20 years. He earned his BA from Lawrence University and his MFA in Acting from the University of Delaware’s Professional Theatre Training Program.

As a professional actor, Paul has performed leading roles with the Chicago Shakespeare Theater, New York Classical Theatre, Milwaukee Repertory Theatre, Utah Shakespeare Festival, Great Lakes Theater, Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare Festival St. Louis, Notre Dame Shakespeare Festival, Delaware Theatre Company, Resident Ensemble Players, Madison Repertory Theatre, and was a member of the company for seven seasons with the American Players Theatre. He is a member of Actors’ Equity Association.
